The Agrotikos Synetairismos Potamou is a cooperative olive oil press in the northern region of Kythira, a small Greek island. During the 3 month olive harvest this little press is the hub of local village life. Driving past early morning or late at night, the lights are always on. Tractors and trailers stacked high with hessian bags filled with olives, pulling in and out. Conversations about this years harvest and the nervous wait to try the new oil. Instant coffee, cigarettes, koulouris and the grassy smell of fresh green olive oil.
